Founded in 2003, Make-A-Wish France is affiliated with the Make-A-Wish® International Foundation, an NGO recognized by the UN. The association grants wishes to children aged 3 to 18 suffering from serious illnesses. It addresses children whose lives are made difficult by the severity of their illness and the treatment they undergo. Emotionally and physically exhausted, the wish allows the child to escape the daily reality of their illness and regain their childhood. Encouraging the child to express their wish, to imagine it and see it come true, helps them look toward the future, generates positive experiences and memories that contribute to their resilience. Each granted wish is unique and reflects the child's personality. It is tailor-made to give the child and their family unforgettable moments away from hospitals and daily constraints. Experienced as a family, the wish brings joy, hope, strength, and courage to fight the illness. By granting the most incredible and inaccessible wishes of children, we want to show them that nothing is impossible and that they too can fight the disease.
