Engaged festivals

By Lilou Fructuoso

Like YardLand, some festivals opt for a dedicated space for association booths, thus giving these cultural gatherings an essential human and social dimension.

Far more than a simple musical destination, YardLand carries a genuine associative and artistic commitment.

Through concrete actions such as recycling, the use of renewable energy, and raising awareness about environmental preservation, YardLand has everything it takes to embody the new altruistic and solidarity-driven vision of these popular events.

Several associations will be present within the "Yard for good" space, such as "La rue tourne," "On remplit le frigo," and many others.

Others, like Solidays, organized by the Solidarité Sida association, have fundraising as their very purpose. Since its creation in 1993, this event has become a symbol of solidarity and social engagement.

Solidays plays a crucial role in fundraising to support prevention, screening, and care projects for people living with HIV.

The revenue generated by the festival is reinvested in concrete actions, thus helping to save lives and improve the quality of life of people affected by this disease.

Moreover, Solidays is actively engaged in advocacy actions in favor of the rights of people living with HIV within the festival itself.

Recently, a newcomer has made its place, carried by the Blue Force association, in service of environmental preservation: L'Ocean Fest.

Built on 3 pillars — ecology, inclusion, and solidarity — this new musical event aims to contribute to environmental awareness and to raise funds to finance environmental defense associations, and in particular ocean protection organizations.

The 2024 edition supported the associations Sea Shepherd France, One Voice, and Itsas Arima.
