Waste treatment has a significant impact on our environment and our health, yet this issue remains neglected and poorly understood. In a context where lobbies have colossal financial and human resources, citizen donations guarantee our independence and allow us to carry out our actions and address new topics freely, without conflicts of interest.
Zero Waste France
Actions carried out
Learn moreZero Waste France advocates an ambitious zero waste, zero squandering approach that prioritizes source reduction. Our vision is part of a global ecological transition framework, respect for human rights, and better consideration of the most disadvantaged populations and future generations. Created in 1997 under the name Centre national d'information indépendante sur les déchets (Cniid) — a name it kept until June 2014. Originally, its role as a whistleblower was paramount: notably making known the dangers of waste incineration in order to obtain stricter regulations on facility emissions (for example, on dioxins). Quickly, the association decided to tackle the root of the problem: waste production and, more broadly, the squandering of natural resources.
