For more than two months, the cultural sector has observed an alarming situation: more than 300 young refugees living in precarious conditions, on the streets, have decided to occupy a symbolic public space, La Gaîté lyrique, to demand their right to decent care and housing. La Gaîté itself is suffering a significant loss of activity that could jeopardize the sustainability of this essential Parisian cultural venue.
